“Taking a good
idea and improving it.” The twin I-beam suspension system was an excellent
concept which had some inherent limitations. Instead of simply throwing
away the idea and swapping in a solid front axle, the original I-beam
concepts was re-thought, re-designed and improved to be a stable, reliable,
flexible suspension system.
