and services available at TLE4xFAB include, but are not limited to: |
Axle,
Differential and Axle Housing Modifications
|
Almost any imaginable axle / differential combination is
possible. Here is an example of a 9” rear axle modified to work with a
hydraulic rear steering system. Of course, not everyone is going to need this
degree of versatility, but, it can be done. Bigger Pic |

Front and rear axle upgrade and swaps are common services
offered at TLE. Pictured here, is a Dana 60 front axle, and a Corp 14-bolt
full floater going into a high HP high torque truck. Leaf – coil spring
conversions, spring and shock mount relocation can be performed at TLE. Bigger Pic |

Axle housing and axles may need to be narrowed. This is often necessary
to fit heavy duty axles and housings in a compact truck, for example swapping
a Ford 9” or Corp 14 bolt into a Toyota. At TLE, we have a lot of experience
and a proven track record for axle housing and axle narrowing modifications. . Bigger

The Ford twin I-beam concept was a great idea that simply needed
refinement. At TLE, we have developed a jig system to narrow Dana 44 and Dana
50 I-beam front ends that BOLT ONTO existing Dana 30 I-beam systems. A custom
tract bar system can give you 27” of front-end travel without any major
modifications. Here is a picture of a narrowed Dana 50 I-beam arm made to fit
a compact Ford Truck Bigger Pic |

Or, if you feel like getting rid of your independent front
suspension, that can be done too. Here is an example of a solid front axle
swap using custom made tract bars and coil springs. Bigger Pic |

Despite popular belief, there is absolutely nothing wrong with
independent front suspended trucks. Just like any factory suspension system,
they are designed for the general population, not the avid four-wheeler.
Similarly, just like any other suspension system, IFS can be greatly improved
with some careful planning and ingenuity. Here is a custom made long-travel
IFS arm. It’s pivot points on the vehicle were relocated, and the custom arm
itself is longer. Bigger Pic |

Career change: Formerly a Dana 50 I-beam front end from a F350
is now a rear axle for a compact pickup truck. The axle “housing” is custom
made. The front steering knuckles are now used in the rear for a
hydraulically controlled rer steering system. Once again, anything can be
done. Bigger Pic. |

Custom made tract bars are constructed to take all kinds of
articulation abuse. In addition, they are designed with a “kink” to provide
extra ground clearance. Bigger Pic. |
